The Metamorphosis of a Course: "Translating Cultures: Literature In and On Translation."
Kathryn Hellerstein, Associate Professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures (Yiddish); Ruth Meltzer Director, Jewish Studies Program
Kathryn Hellerstein will talk about how this signature course has developed in a variety of contexts over the years. Workshop participants will discuss Hellerstein's syllabus and examples of assignments and brainstorm about how they could design their own courses on teaching translation.
A light lunch will be served.
