Carina Aahren is a Swedish language lecturer and Director of the Swedish Language Program. In 2017-18 she teaches Elementary Swedish, SCND101 and SCND102. Carina has a professional background in visual communication and project coordination, as well as in instructional design and human resource development and training. She also teaches Swedish language evening classes and serves on the Board of Governors at the American Swedish Historical Museum in South Philadelphia.

Carina is very interested in creating connections within the Scandinavian community in the Greater Philadelphia region, as well as in being a resource for Penn students interested in studying or working in Sweden.

Carina has studied sociology, behavioral sciences, and international project coordination at University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and fine arts and communication at Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, PA.
