Hundreds of students have graduated from Penn with a major in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies since the program's inception (then known as the Women's Studies Program) in 1973. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, our graduates have gone on to excel in a wide variety of fields. If you are considering majoring in GSWS but you're not sure what the program can do for you and how it will help you be successful in today's job market, please read the profiles of our alumni to learn how majoring in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies (or, as it was previously known, Women's Studies and more recently, Gender, Culture and Society) helped them.
