What's History got to do with it? Teaching the History of the Body and Sexuality

 

Using examples from distinct places/time periods in the past, we will grapple with issues that challenge us as teachers and as students, including historicizing the experiences of transgender people, and unpacking biopolitical and reproductive rights debates articulated in the language of eugenics.
