GSWS233 - HIST PRIVATE LIFE CHINA

Focusing on Renaissance dramatists other than Shakespeare, this course examines these writer from different perspectives. A sample offering: "Theater and Society," which examines Renaissance drama as it reveals a society which saw itself both through and as theater. This particular course investigates different kinds of plays as "social" and "political" theater and studies the first "domestic" tragedies.
