APC Scholars

The Alice Paul Center’s Scholars Programs provide opportunities for scholars from all disciplines to conduct independent research related to gender and sexuality while in residence at the University of Pennsylvania.

Scholars will be provided with shared office space at the Center, a Penn email account, and library privileges. The Center will help to identify opportunities to connect with GSWS scholars across Penn’s campus, and to present work-in-progress to the GSWS community. Scholars are encouraged to participate in Center programming. Travel, housing and living expenses are the responsibility of the Visiting Scholar. This is an unpaid residence.

Candidates must have Ph.D. or its equivalent in hand at the start of affiliation. Preference will be given to candidates with a distinguished research profile. Residency may range from 3 months to one academic year. Scholars must be in residence throughout the requested timeframe of the appointment.
