Modern Cosmology and the Building Blocks of the Universe
A Presentation by Mark Trodden, Professor of Physics and Co-Director of the Center for Particle Cosmology
The challenge of modern cosmology is to use the physics of the vast and the physics of the miniscule to explain how a young, hot, small universe became the old, cold, huge universe we see today.
During Alumni Weekend 2010, Dr. Mark Trodden, physics professor and co-director of the Center for Particle Cosmology, gave a presentation describing how scientists are using the cosmos itself as both a telescope and a microscope to understand the Big Bang and beyond.
