The Division of Professional and Continuing Education
The Division of Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) in the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Sciences is dedicated to integrating knowledge across disciplines and to providing innovative programs that engage our students’ minds, advance their careers, and inspire them to make an impact on society.
PCE makes a Penn education accessible to a diverse population of intellectually capable professionals and students from around the globe. PCE encompasses the College of Liberal and Professional Studies, the Fels Institute of Government, the Organizational Dynamics Program, and the English Language Programs.
Housed within PCE are the following professional master’s degrees: Master of Applied Positive Psychology, Master of Environmental Studies, Master of Science in Applied Geosciences, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in Organizational Dynamics, Master of Philosophy in Organizational Dynamics, Master of Liberal Arts, Master of Philosophy in Liberal Arts, and Master of Medical Physics. Several master’s programs offer graduate certificates in specific concentrations; please see program websites for more information on certificate options.
PCE also offers two undergraduate degrees, the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Fine Arts, as well as post-baccalaureate certificate programs in Undergraduate Studies (PBUG), Classical Studies, and Pre-Health.
International programs administered by PCE include the English Language Programs, the International Guest Student Program and Penn Summer Abroad.
PCE is also the home of Penn Summer, the School of Arts and Sciences’ summer sessions, as well as Penn’s Summer High School Programs and Young Scholars.
