Penn to Rename Bennett Hall in Honor of Former Trustee Richard L. Fisher. October 2004. University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) will rename Bennett Hall, home of its world-renowned English Department, as Fisher-Bennett Hall in recognition of a leadership gift from alumnus Richard L. Fisher (C’63, G’67).New Name for Bennett. November 2004. Alumni Couple Makes Million-Dollar Gift to Fisher-Bennett Hall, Graduate Education. January 2006. Alumni Karen and Gary Rose have given $1 million to the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) for its Fisher–Bennett Hall renovation project and a new master’s degree in Jewish education offered in collaboration with the Graduate School of Education.
