I received my laurea in Italian Literature from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 2004 (dissertation: Representaton of Death in Leopardi’s Canti) and a Dottorato in Italian literature from the University of Macerata in 2008 (dissertation: Leopardi’s theory on tragic).

Although I have also published scholarly works on other authors, Leopardi has been the main focus of my research.  As a graduate student at Penn, I am keeping on my research on Leopardi (in particular I am investigating his political thought). Nevertheless, my PhD dissertation will focus on “Le novelle galanti” by G. B. Casti.
