In the news:May 6, 2009:Laurie O. Robinson nominated by President Obama for Assistant Attorney General, Office of Justice Programs, Department of Justice. Robinson was named Acting Assistant Attorney General/Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General on January 28, 2009. She previously served as Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department’s Office of Justice Programs from 1993 to 2000.
The 2009 Stockholm Prize in Criminology will be awarded to Raul Zaffaroni of the Supreme Court of Argentina, and John Hagan of Northwestern University in Illinois on June 23 in Stockholm City Hall during the Stockholm Criminology Symposium.
