Welcome to the Justice Research Consortium.

The Justice Research Consortium was founded on September 06, 2001, bringing together crime justice professionals and police chiefs in a British Government-funded program to test Restorative Justice as a strategy to reduce crime.

The programme aims to establish whether restorative justice approaches applied pre-sentence and post-sentence lead to a reduction in re-offending rates and increase victim satisfaction with the process. To date, RJ has been used in youth crime, but for the first time, this project will be focused on adult offenders.

This website serves as an information guide of the progress and achievents of JRC. Please navigate through our site using the toolbar at the top of the page find out more.
