Lord Woolf,
The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has provided guidance
to Judges in the development and testing of restorative justice.
His first statement was presented at a meeting of the Youth
Justice Board on October 25, 2001. His second statement was
presented in a letter responding to an inquiry from a Crown
Court Judge participating in the Justice Research Consortium's
research. This statement was made partly in reference to a letter
by JRC Co-Director Lawrence Sherman.
