LALS 2012 Graduate Student Field Research Grants
Each year LALS makes a series of small grants available for graduate students whose research requires they travel to Latin America during the summer months. The call for applications is usually published in early spring, with applications due at the beginning of April.
In 2012 LALS granted funding to seven graduate students to help cover costs of airfare and other expenses.
The following institutions offer financial support for graduate research:
- The Boren Institute
- The Grassroots Development Fellowship from The Inter-American Foundation
- SSRC International Dissertation Research Fellowship
- Fulbright
- Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad
Also, LALS offers a listserv for graduate students with research interests in Latin America or Latino Studies. To sign-up, follow this link.
