Penn Employees
Enjoy the benefits of an Ivy League Education Where You Work!
Did you know that as an employee you are eligible for tuition assistance for credit-bearing or audited courses that you take here at Penn? The University of Pennsylvania is pleased to offer its faculty and staff the chance to pursue knowledge and professional development through our Tuition Benefits program. You can apply to a full degree program, or you can arrange to take just a few courses to expand your current skill set to achieve personal, academic, or career goals.
The College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS) offers a world of options for undergraduate and graduate studies, from Post-Baccalaureate Undergraduate Studies (PBUG) and the Bachelor of Arts to professional master’s degrees in the Liberal Arts and Environmental Studies. Our open enrollment Penn Summer program provides you with the opportunity to challenge your mind and explore new ideas in a vibrant learning community. Visit our Programs page for information about all of the flexible and innovative programs offered by LPS.
The Human Resources website provides a full explanation of the tuition benefits available to you. Please note that if you are an employee of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, you will need to check directly with your human resources department as specific requirements and benefits for UPHS employees do exist.

How to Get Started
While admissions requirements and prerequisites vary across programs, all Penn employees who are interested in using their tuition benefit to take a credit bearing course at LPS must first apply and be accepted, whether you are interested in a degree or non-degree program. We encourage you to speak with one of our Recruitment staff members who make appointments and meet with prospective students on a daily basis. To schedule an in-person or telephone meeting please call us at 215.746.6902. Or you may email an appointment request to lps-info@sas.upenn.edu.
You can also attend one of our employee-only information sessions or stop by during our popular Walk-In Wednesdays to talk face-to-face with a Recruitment Specialist--no appointment necessary!
If you still have questions about becoming a student as an employee, take a look at our prospective students page. You may also visit our Employees FAQ for additional information.
