The Graduate Research Forum held in May each year is an excellent opportunity to view the variety of projects completed by MES students.
Applicants to the Master of Environmental Studies program are evaluated according to the following criteria.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and strong academic record.
- Current resume.
- The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required of all applicants except applicants with five or more years of professional experience or Penn undergraduate submatriculants.
- TOEFL scores for those students whose undergraduate degree was not conducted in English.
- Two letters of recommendation from faculty or supervisors familiar with the applicants abilities and scholarly work, including at least one academic reference, if possible.
- Written statement of career objectives and reasons for choosing the Master of Environmental Studies Program at the College of Liberal and Professional Studies. See specific essay questions.
