Environmental Advocacy and Education

MES

The ability to convey environmental information to a wide range of audiences is a key skill developed in the MES program.

This concentration focuses primarily on preparing students to communicate complex environmental concepts to various audiences. It includes environmental education, journalism, and advocacy. Graduates may find themselves teaching in classroom or non-traditional settings (museums or nature centers), or working in not-for-profit organizations doing community outreach and communication or in media organizations.
