High School Programs

Exploratory Thinking!

Get your first taste of college life in good company. Join your peers from across the country and around the world for a Summer High School Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies (LPS). You’ll be in good hands because we’ve been doing this for a decade. What’s more, our beautiful campus, with its tree-lined walkways and historic buildings, offers you the perfect summer learning location.

Explore your options through a variety of programs, including the Biomedical Research Academy, the Experimental Physics Research Academy, the English Language Academy, or Penn's Pre-College Program.

Whether you plan to live on campus or commute, you’ll be immersed in the outstanding academic challenge of an Ivy League environment because your courses are taught by Penn’s world-class faculty, scholars, and distinguished outside experts. Classes are small—usually 15 to 20 students—so you know you’ll get the individual attention you expect and deserve.

Be sure to investigate our Young Scholars Program, a special opportunity for outstanding local high school students to take college courses with Penn students and earn full college credit. As a Young Scholar, you’ll pursue your favorite discipline at a level beyond that available in most secondary schools. Or you can survey fields such as anthropology, economics, advanced calculus, philosophy, linguistics, or experimental psychology.

Explore today. Prepare for tomorrow. Start now—in a high school program at Penn’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies.
