Dual Degree Program (BS/BA + MS/MA)
The Dual Degree Program (DDP) provides highly qualified international students from Penn's DDP partner institutions the opportunity to take advantage of Penn's excellence as a research university. Participants combine undergraduate study at their home institution with advanced undergraduate and graduate coursework from the University of Pennsylvania.
Participants complete the majority of the requirements of their BS or BA studies at the home institution in three years. In the fourth year they come to the University of Pennsylvania where they undertake intensive English language and academic preparation training followed by two years of study at the advanced undergraduate and graduate level. Upon completion of the Dual Degree Program students earn an undergraduate degree from their home institution and a Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
The following Master's Degrees can be earned through the Dual Degree Program:
- Master of Environmental Studies
- Master of Liberal Arts
- Master of Science in Applied Geosciences
- Master of Urban Spatial Analytics
- Master of Medical Physics
- Master of Science in Mathematics
- Master of Near Eastern Languages and Civilization
- Master of Science in Criminology

Note: Applicants must be enrolled in one of the partner universities of Penn’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies to apply to the DDP. This program does not accept applications from individuals who are not current students at a partner institution.
