The International Guest Student Program (IGSP) provides highly qualified students from abroad the opportunity to take advantage of Penn's excellence as a top-ranked teaching and research university. Students take up to one academic year of full-time undergraduate coursework and English Language study in Penn's College of Liberal and Professional Studies as non-matriculated undergraduates. IGSP students enroll in four credit-bearing courses each term during the Fall and/or Spring terms. Students can select from a vast array of courses in over 22 academic departments and 22 interdisciplinary programs. At the completion of the program, students will receive transcripts from the University of Pennsylvania and will be awarded credits that can be transferred to their home institution. This program is offered through the College of Liberal and Professional Studies, in Penn's School of Arts and Sciences.

IGSP students enjoy the following academic experiences:

• Students participate in the English language academic preparation program prior to the start of the undergraduate coursework.
• Advisors help students enroll in undergraduate courses based on their language proficiency, academic background, and interests.
• IGSP students participate in the full array of undergraduate activities, clubs, and organizations outside of class.
• IGSP students receive Penn credit for their coursework. This credit can be transferred to the home institution to use toward the completion of the student's undergraduate degree.
• Upon completion of their study at Penn, IGSP students return to their home institution.
