Individualized Concentration

 

My MSAG Project is a raw materials provenance study for a group of Paleolithic (Old Stone Age) archaeological sites located in the Wadi al-Hasa region of West Jordan.

Occasionally a student’s interests do not fit within one of the three MSAG concentrations. Those students may develop an individualized concentration under the supervision of a faculty advisor. This must be approved by the Program Director and the Faculty Committee.

Most of these students are planning to pursue a doctoral degree or plan to teach geosciences at the high school level and need to fill in gaps in their geological education with advanced courses in Mineralogy, Stratigraphy, Paleontology, Structural Geology, and Petrology.
