Recent LPS Grad's Film Selected by New Directors/New Films 2011

A feature-length film written by recent LPS graduate Yao (Eugene) Nunoo has been by New  Directors/New Films 2011 for screenings in New York during the weekend of April 1, 2011. 

Yao, who is originally from Ghana, graduated magna cum laude and with distinction in 2008, earning a bachelor of arts in Cinema Studies at Penn. His feature length film, Destiny of Lesser Animals, considers the dilemma of a Ghanian man who must choose between his dreams of a future abroad and the reality of life in his homeland. Yao wrote the screenplay, is one of the producers, and stars as the main character in the film.

Screenings will be held at the Museum of Modern Art on Friday, April 1 at 9:00 p.m. and at the Film Society of Lincoln Center on Saturday,  April 2 at 6:30 p.m.
