Thomas Motter

PhD student in Indo-European studies, University of California, Los Angeles ‘20—expected

Education: 

Bachelor of Arts, Mathematics, Classical Studies, cum laude
Rice University, '12

Thomas is interested in Indo-European comparative philology and historical linguistics, IE cultural reconstruction, comparative mythology/folklore and ancient history. He also has a strong fondness for medieval Germanic history, linguistics and literature, e.g., Beowulf and the Icelandic sagas.
