Stephen Hopkins

Bachelor of Arts, Anthropology and Linguistics, Miami University, Oxford, Ohio 2011

Stephen’s interests include Anglo-Saxon language and culture; sociocultural implications surrounding Medieval Latin, heroic and epic poetry (English, Spanish, Latin, Old English, Greek); the history of the English language; and church history. While at Miami University, he completed a senior honors thesis about the Old English Biblical-Epic poem "Exodus." Stephen presented his findings at the 2011 Southeastern Medieval Conference in Decatur, Ga. He also spent a semester in India with the Dalai Lama and Tibetan exile community studying language ideology and oppression.
