Visas
You will need an F-1 (student) visa if you plan to study full-time. Full-time study is 2 course units (CUs) in either of the 6-week terms or 4 course units (CUs) in the 12-week evening session. Penn issues the Form I-20 to eligible students for full-time summer study.
You will receive information about how to apply for your I-20 with your admission information. Visa processing times vary by country, so apply early to ensure you have enough time to get your F-1 visa before the start of classes. Application deadlines are listed above.
