Course Description: 

Humans are a cultural species, constantly navigating a complex web of culturaly bound practices, norms, and worldviews. This seminar will survey the theory and research of the young but rapidly expanding field of cultural psychology. In the seminar, we will explore how culture shapes and is shaped by an array of psychological domains, ranging from perception, information processing, and language, to concepts of the self, motivations, emotion, morality, and physical and mental health.
