Weingarten Learning Resources Center
All undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at Penn are eligible for the free, confidential services provided through the Weingarten Learning Resources Center. Although some students are referred by advisors, counselors, or professors for assistance with their academic performance, most students consult our services of their own accord. In fact, the majority of students who use Learning Resources are excelling academically.
Individual instruction is the backbone of the program. Students can make appointments for one-on-one consultations with a learning instructor to address concerns and build upon already strong study strategies. Call 215.57EXCEL (215.573.9235) for an appointment.
- Walk-in hours are available during the academic year, Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 3:00pm.
- Appointments are one half-hour and are provided on a firstcome, first-served basis.
- Print information is available in the form of self-help pamphlets, handouts, and calendar tools for independent use.
Interactive workshops provide group learning opportunities throughout the academic year. Several workshop series have been designed for specific groups of students. For a complete listing of our workshop schedule, please contact our office or consult our online calendar.
Collaborative University Programs constitute a growing service offered by Learning Resources. Within these programs, Learning Resources collaborates with various student services, academic departments, and campus organizations to provide academic workshops and seminars for diverse learners. Our current collaborations include: Training Programs, The Penn Mentoring Program (PMP), and Navigating the Dissertation.
