Opportunities
We provide a comprehensive listing of multiple opportunities available to undergraduate and graduate students. Study Abroad and foreign language programs, government agencies, think-tanks, advocacy groups, faith-based organizations, human rights NGOs, and others are represented, and were selected on the basis of their offerings for students, recent graduates, and others interested in an international career, or in studying or volunteering overseas. Job and volunteer opportunities are all related in some capacity with Middle East issues, but many are generalists in their international work.
Internal FellowshipsThe Middle East Center offers several internal fellowships for Penn graduate students – The Foreign Langauge and Area Study Fellowship (funded by the U.S. Department of Education), the Janet Lee Stevens Fellowship in Arabic Studies, and an undergraduate essay contest.
