I am particularly interested in opera studies, with a major emphasis on dramaturgy, production, and social relevance of seventeenth/early eighteenth-century operas and romantic Italian works by Rossini and Verdi.  The passion for the material aspects of opera production has led me to collaborate and work on critical editions of Cavalli and Rossini's works, together with a short experience as dramaturg (Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Milan 2012) and collaborator for opera houses (Teatro alla Scala, Milan; Opera Philadelphia).  Today I am completing a dissertation on Handel’s pasticci through the lens of music circulation and listening habits in early eighteenth-century London.
