Wondering about the elusiveness of meaning in music and the convolutions of theory, I linger on their limits (noise-silence-drones-discourse-subjectivity), aiming for modes of listening that amount to modes of questioning, hoping to bring music and thought together as/in sense. My research is framed by questions of the representability and intelligibility of music and listening with respect to its political and historical inscriptions through engagement with issues and tools of continental philosophy and critical theory.
