1. 1. Restart the machine (a preventative and troubleshooting measure that will address most problems).
   2. If you are using MIDI sound (e.g., Practica Musica) use the headphone jack located on the Proteus1000
   3. if you are using a CD-ROM, RealPlayer, iMovie, or playing mp3 examples, use the headphone jack attached to the left of the equipment rack.
