through music.
West Philadelphia Music is the result of an ongoing research partnership between students, both graduate and undergraduate, at the University of Pennsylvania and the University’s wider West Philadelphia community. The materials presented here are generated in Academically Based Community Service style courses taught in the Music Department by Ethnomusicology professors Carol Muller and Tim Rommen, and sponsored by Penn's Center for Community Partnerships and PRRUCS. This site is ever expanding, and is intended to showcase student research about these communities, and to act as a resource for schools,
communities of faith, and other community
organizations in the area.
