Jade Gonzalez, C’22, Wins Pickering Fellowship

Jade Gonzalez

Jade Gonzalez, C’22, has received a Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Fellowship, which provides support for two years of graduate study at a U.S.-based institution in preparation for a career in the U.S. Foreign Service.
 
A history and international relations double major who came to Penn as a Questbridge Scholar from Bertrand, Nebraska, Gonzalez is currently a business analyst with McKinsey & Company in Washington D.C. At Penn she served as the advocacy chair for PennFirst, a student fellow at Perry World House, and president of Penn Student Agencies. She also built and designed sets for several student performing arts groups.
 
With interests in culinary diplomacy, sustainable agriculture, and climate change mitigation, Gonzalez plans to pursue a master’s degree in international environmental policy and become a U.S. Foreign Service Officer working on U.S. climate policy interests abroad.
