Penn Junior Wins 2014 Cultural Vistas Fellowship

May 22, 2014

Courtney Bliler, a rising College junior from Horseheads, N.Y., is among 10 students from universities across the United States selected to receive 2014 Cultural Vistas Fellowships to intern abroad in Asia, Europe and South America this summer.

The fellowships provide university students who are traditionally underrepresented in international exchange programs the chance to advance their career goals, develop global competencies, and experience life in another culture.

Now in its second year, the Cultural Vistas program will once again center on the theme of sustainability. The 2014 fellows will participate in eight-week summer internship and immersion experiences in Argentina, Germany, and Singapore. Bliler, an international relations major, will spend part of her summer in Germany.

Cultural Vistas is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 5,000 students, professionals, and emerging leaders through career-focused international internships, educational study tours, language immersion, and cultural exchange programs in the U.S. and around the world.
