Penn’s Political Science Department is experiencing a renaissance. Over the past decade, our faculty has grown by 50%, an increase in quantity that has been matched by gains in quality. The strength of our faculty in each of four major subfields is being built with an eye to excellence embracing a variety of approaches and methodologies.

Professor Daniel Hopkins discusses the framing effects of politicians' messages in shaping public opinion during the 2009-2010 health care debate in a paper published in Political Behavior.

Lynch and Perera in JHPPL

Professor Julia Lynch and graduate student Isabel Perera co-authored an article on health equity in the US compared to the United Kingdom and France, which was published in a special issue of the Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law.
