Penn’s Political Science Department is experiencing a renaissance. Over the past decade, our faculty has grown by 50%, an increase in quantity that has been matched by gains in quality. The strength of our faculty in each of four major subfields is being built with an eye to excellence embracing a variety of approaches and methodologies.

Spring Issue of Sound Politicks Now Available

The Spring 2016 issue of the undergraduate political science journal Sound Politicks is now available.     

Baldinger C'16 wins Yardley Prize

Undergraduate political science major Sarah Baldinger C'16 won the 2016 Joseph Warner Yardley Prize for her thesis entitled "Lost and Won: A New Empirical Analysis of Economic Power Sharing” (with Professor Alex Weisiger).      

Foley C'16 and Shapiro C'16 Win Rose Award

Undergraduate political science majors Sean Foley C'16 and Lauren Shapiro C'16 won the Rose Award for "outstanding undergraduate research projects completed by graduating seniors."     

Meredith and Levendusky in the Boston Globe

Professors Marc Meredith and Matthew Levendusky were quoted in a Boston Globe article about the Republican primary in Pennsylvania.
