Penn’s Political Science Department is experiencing a renaissance. Over the past decade, our faculty has grown by 50%, an increase in quantity that has been matched by gains in quality. The strength of our faculty in each of four major subfields is being built with an eye to excellence embracing a variety of approaches and methodologies.

The undergraduate political science major at Penn has been ranked eighth in US Today's list of top political science programs.

Teele Awarded APSA Women and Politics Section Dissertation Prize

Professor Dawn Teele's dissertation "The Logic of Women's Enfranchisement: A Comparative Study of the United States, France, and the United Kingdom" has won the best dissertation award for the Women and Politics Research section of the American Political Science Association.
