Penn’s Political Science Department is experiencing a renaissance. Over the past decade, our faculty has grown by 50%, an increase in quantity that has been matched by gains in quality. The strength of our faculty in each of four major subfields is being built with an eye to excellence embracing a variety of approaches and methodologies.

Marie Gottschalk Appointed to Larry Krasner's Transition Team

Marie Gottschalk was appointed to Larry Kranser's transition team and on Wednesday testified at the Democratic Policy Committees public hearings on bold budget innovations at the invitiation of Rep. Chris Rabb.

Ian Lustick Publishes in Middle East Policy

Professor Ian Lustick's article "The Balfour Declaration a Century Later: Accidentally Relevant" was published in Middle East Policy.

Book Discussion

On November 2, Professor Ian Lustick will serve as commentator at a presentation by Shadi Hamid, co-editor of a new book on political Islam titled Rethinking Political Islam. The event is sponsored by the Middle East Center.
