DCC Graduate Workshop: Daggar and Gillis

The Penn Program on Democracy, Citizenship, and Constitutionalism (Penn DCC) will host its next Graduate Workshop focusing on two papers that look at the emergence and development of state power before and after the American revolutionary war.     

Lori Daggar (History, Penn) presents "Beyond Paternalism: Native Nations, Missionaries, and the Making of American Empire in Indian Country." 

Brendan Gillis (History, Indiana) presents "Policing Beyond Law: Local Jurisdiction and Imperial Expansion in British America, 1740-1765."
