Professor Michael C. Horowitz has been named the 2017 recipient of the International Studies Association’s Karl Deutsch Award. This award is presented annually to a scholar in IR who is under age 40 or within ten years of defending his or her dissertation, and who is judged to have made (through a body of publications) a significant contribution to the study of IR and peace research.
