Professor Michael Horowitz wins Furniss Book Award

Associate Professor Michael C. Horowitz has won the Furniss Book Award from the Mershon Center for International Security Studies for his book The Diffusion of Military Power: Causes and Consequences for International Politics. This award is given each year to an author whose first book makes an exceptional contribution to the study of national and international security. Last November, the book also earned Horowitz the 2010 Best Book Award given by the International Security Studies Section of the International Studies Association.
