This section provides a brief overview of information pertinent to courses, and that is not described in the section on Majoring in PPE.
PPE students take a wide variety of courses in this interdisciplinary program. Most of the courses taken are in Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Psychology; students however may choose other thematically related courses in the College or other schools. For all courses that are not PPE courses (PPE is not the primary department offering them), the subject of prerequisites for these courses is important. A section explaining the policy of prerequisites is provided on this page. In general, PPE has a very limited role in this process, as it does in the approval of courses taken outside Penn - whether they be taken in the US or abroad, before starting at Penn or during the stay at Penn.
PPE's own list of courses is here. A list of courses that are not accepted for the PPE major are found in the FAQ (check the bottom of the page) in addition to other information.
