The Goldstone Forum
The Goldstone Forum is an annual lecture by leading figures in business, political and academic arenas. PPE students have the opportunity to meet privately with these speakers to discuss the legal, ethical, political and economic issues they are studying with people who are confronting these same issues in their work.
PPE is pleased to announce the Goldstone Forum for 2015:
Jewish Life in Europe and the USA
There have been many tributaries and divergences in the ancient river of Jewish history. One such (relatively recent) fork in the stream has sent Jews to the US from Europe. How does the political participation, the cultural assimilation, the philosophical perspective and indeed the overall identity of the Jewish people in Europe differ from their cousins in the US? What in their future seems likely to be common and what may well be very different? How has the existence and policies of Israel - a land outside the boundaries of both continents and yet central to the consciousness of all Jews - affect these conclusions? These questions become critical considering the latest episodes of terrorism in various European countries
