Religious Studies Adjunct Associate Professor Jay Treat Wins Penn Staff Award!

Jay C. Treat recently won the "silver" award in the School of Arts and Sciences Staff Incentive Program.Jay C. Treat is a manager in SAS Computing and an adjunct associate professor in Religious Studies. Jay has been involved in both Religious Studies and Information Technology since 1986, when he came to Penn as a graduate student in Religious Studies and began working on Computer Assisted Tools for Septuagint Studies. His dissertation and academic research focus on the Old Greek translation of the Song of Songs.

Undergraduate Jessie Sun Publishes Article in Major Scholarly Journal in Buddhist Studies

Jessie Sun, a visiting student from New Zealand and based at the University of Melbourne (now) wrote  term paper in Penn's Religious Studies course "Introduction to Buddhism." She submitted her paper for publication with a major scholarly journal in the field and it was just published. You can access it here:
