Tim Powell was awarded an NEH Preservation and Access grant ($300K) to
serve as the project director overseeing the creation of a new digital
guide to the Native American collections at the American Philosophical
Jessie Sun, a visiting student from New Zealand and based at the University of Melbourne (now) wrote term paper in Penn's Religious Studies course "Introduction to Buddhism." A major scholarly journal in the field published it. You can access it here.
Prof. Steven Weitzman joins our department as Abraham M. Ellis Professor of Hebrew and Semitic Languages and Literatures, and he is also the new Ella Darivoff Director of the Katz Center of Advanced Judaic Studies.
