Course Description: 

This class explores the main narrative genres of contemporary Argentine literature and film from the 1940s to the present and situates this exploration in the context of different sociopolitical problems. Genres covered include detective fiction and film noir, fantasy, horror and thrillers, realism, and Westerns and literatura gauchesca.
