Residential tuition includes: Term fees, full academic and enrichment program, use of Penn facilities, housing, three meals daily Monday through Friday and two meals on Sunday (no meals on Saturday due to trips), Penn recreation pass, extracurricular and social activities, trips and excursions per catalog, and access to Student Health Services for non emergency care.
Commuter (Day student) tuition includes: Term fees, full academic and enrichment program, use of Penn facilities, two meals daily Monday through Friday, extracurricular and social activities scheduled Monday through Friday between 9am and 6pm, and access to Student Health Services for non emergency care.
Not included: Transportation to/from your home city, transfers to/from Philadelphia International Airport (available for $50 each way), books and classroom materials, course supplements, meals eaten off campus, medical expenses, a linen package (sheets, blanket and pillow) available for purchase through Housing, souvenirs, and personal spending money (approximately $75-$125 per week suggested).
A financial deposit of no less than $1,000 is due by April 1, 2016, to reserve a student's position in the summer program. Students admitted after April 1 are asked to remit a deposit as soon as possible. The balance of tuition is due by June 1, 2016. All payments less $400 are refundable until March 1, 2016. Withdrawal between March 1 and April 1 results in a $1,000 cancellation fee. Withdrawal between April 1 and June 1 results in a $2,000 cancellation fee. Withdrawal between June 1 and 2 days prior to program commencement results in a $3,000 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellation within 2 days of program commencement, for any reason. There is no adjustment in tuition for late arrivals or early departures. All withdrawals must be in writing and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
