Visiting Students

Join visiting students from across the US to access Penn courses and programs through open enrollment.

This summer, experience life as a Penn student. Join peers from across the US to access Penn courses and programs through open enrollment—and earn credits on a Penn transcript.

Summer Sessions
With asynchronous, daytime, and evening classes designed to fit your summer schedule, Penn Summer Sessions make more than 200 online credit courses available to undergraduates and working professionals at Penn and beyond.
Penn Summer Abroad
Undergraduates at Penn and other accredited institutions can get immersed in the culture of the world's most exciting and beautiful locales while learning from experts and earning credit.

Transferring credits

We encourage you to consult with your home institution regarding transfer credit policies prior to enrolling in courses through Penn Summer. In many cases, the transfer credit evaluation process will require a review of the course syllabus. When available, Penn Summer will post syllabi on the website under the course description. After completing course work at Penn and being awarded a grade, you can request a transcript through the University Registrar's Office to submit to your home institution for final evaluation.

Getting started

Once you have received confirmation of your enrollment in a Penn Summer program, learn how to get started with your studies. As a visiting student, you will be assigned an advisor from the Penn Summer team who assist with academic needs. Please contact our office at (215) 898-7326 to schedule an advising appointment.
