Center for Transcultural Studies: Publications/Public Culture

Public Culture is an award-winning journal at the forefront of the debates about global cultural flows and public cultures in a diasporic world. It serves the needs of a growing international community interested in understanding the global forces that are transforming our world. The journal provides a forum for discussing the places and occasions where cultural, social, and political differences emerge as public phenomena, ranging from highly particular and localized events in popular or folk culture to global advertising, consumption and information networks.
