U.S. Real Estate Acquisitions Analyst / Associate - Bridges Fund Management

Job Description:

The Analyst / Associate will work directly with the Partner and Director(s) of the fund.  The role will be based in New York.  As a member of this group, the Analyst / Associate will be responsible for supporting all execution of deals "cradle-to-grave," including acquisitions underwriting, deal modeling, deal structuring, due diligence, financing, negotiation of terms, asset management, and dispositions. This tightly-knit team works together closely in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. In addition, the candidate should feel alignment with and enthusiasm for the firm’s mission-driven investment philosophy.

 Responsibilities:

·      Screen new acquisitions opportunities against investment criteria

·  Drive the financial modeling, underwriting, and due diligence phases of potential new investments

  • Prepare memoranda describing potential new investments and participate in Investment Committee presentations
  • Prepare financial analyses of investment decisions, such as leasing, financing, and buy / sell decisions
  • Prepare and effectively analyze market data / research
  • Support the execution of business plans and monitor operating performance of owned investments
  • Assist with capital raising presentations and other investor relations requests
  • Manage existing / develop new proprietary relationships to originate new business over time

 Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of related real estate finance or investment banking experience, preferably including experience at a principal real estate investing firm
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, modeling, and valuation; deep experience with financial and valuation software including Excel
  • Deep understanding of finance and real estate terms and concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation abilities
  • Outstanding organizational skills, and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks under pressure
  • Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform market research, including frequent travel
  • Highly developed sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Passion for mission-driven investing
  • Bachelor's degree required
